When we first moved into our house, we focused on the big purchases: a new couch, rugs and curtains for the bedrooms. But what I failed to remember was to update the little accessories, those items that may seem insignificant, but really contribute to the overall look and feel of a space. For example, we were still using a stainless steel canister that had rust all over it to house our kitchen tools. As soon as I swapped it out for a chic marble canister, it got me thinking about the other household items that could use a facelift.
