for more: http://ift.tt/1pj8rRx Something different from my usual shot. Its different because this was not taken during the sunrise/sunset/golden hour/blue hour time frame. This was actually taken mid morning. As I have mentioned in my previous posts, during my stay at Mt Rainier, the fog was very intense that we hardly glimpse the peak. In this one, the fog does contribute something to the final photo. Also this is a 4 x 5 crop which I feel fits better with the subject matter. via 500px http://ift.tt/1rhOiLl

Sunset at White Pocket in the Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness, Arizona. The deserts of the SW are incredibly varied and colourful providing a multitude of photographic possibilities. I have just one space left on a tour of the SW next spring travelling around this incredible region. "Desert Architecture" - Death Valley/USA Today I present you the final version of this tele-desert-shot. I was very glad to spot this structures and lines in the last rays of sunlight. As you would guess, everything above 35 mm is not my kind of photos. Although you have to look closely to see the shapes and structures in the distance, I feel rather passive as a photographer without the involvement of front-, middle- and background. Certainly a matter of habit and preference. I will remain faithful to my Grandscapes, but maybe choose every now and then the curious "Tele".
